10-Minute Chili Garlic Noodles
A quick and flavorful 10-minute chili garlic noodles recipe featuring ground pork, a savory and spicy sauce, and instant ramen noodles.
Ingredients
- 6 Garlic cloves
- 1 piece Ginger (about 1-inch)
- 4 Green onions
- 0.25 cup Soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon Black vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 3 tablespoon Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 2 tablespoon Sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoon Neutral oil
- 1 lb Ground pork
- Salt to taste
- 2 Blocks of instant ramen noodles
Method
- 1
Start by roughly chopping the garlic.
- 2
Grate the ginger.
- 3
Dice the green onions, separating the white/light green parts from the dark green parts.
- 4
In a small bowl, prepare the sauce. Combine the soy sauce, black vinegar, sugar, gochugaru (or regular chili flakes), and sesame seeds. Mix well.
- 5
Heat a good amount of oil in a hot pan over medium-high heat.
- 6
Add the chopped garlic, grated ginger, and the white/light green parts of the green onions to the pan. Sauté until fragrant.
- 7
Add the ground pork to the pan. Season with a little bit of salt.
- 8
Break up the pork with a spatula and cook until it is nicely browned.
- 9
Pour the prepared sauce mixture into the pan with the cooked pork. Stir to combine and cook for about another minute.
- 10
While the sauce is cooking, boil the noodles according to package directions.
- 11
Once the noodles are cooked, use chopsticks or tongs to transfer them directly from the pot into the pan with the pork and sauce.
- 12
Add a splash of the noodle cooking water to the pan to help emulsify the sauce.
- 13
Add the reserved dark green parts of the green onions.
- 14
Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated in the sauce.
- 15
Serve in a bowl, garnished with extra green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
