🍳

Ingredients

  • Potatoes
  • Salt
  • Chilli Flakes
  • Pepper
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Garlic
  • Corn Flour
  • Oil
  • Oil
  • Butter
  • Garlic
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Salt
  • Cilantro

Method

  1. 1

Peel and chop the potatoes into large chunks.

  2. 2

Place the chopped potatoes in a pot of water. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender.

  3. 3

Once cooked, drain the potatoes thoroughly using a strainer. Transfer the hot potatoes to a large glass bowl.

  4. 4

Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes until they are smooth and free of lumps.

  5. 5

Add salt, chilli flakes, ground pepper, Italian seasoning, and minced garlic to the mashed potatoes.

  6. 6

Add the corn flour to the mixture.

  7. 7

Using a spatula, mix all the ingredients until they are well combined into a uniform dough.

  8. 8

Lightly grease your hands with oil. Take a small portion of the potato mixture and roll it between your palms to form a smooth, bite-sized ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture and arrange the balls on a plate.

  9. 9

Heat oil in a deep pan or wok for frying. Carefully drop the potato balls into the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding.

  10. 10

Fry the balls, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides.

  11. 11

Remove the fried potato balls from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  12. 12

In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  13. 13

Add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt to the melted butter. Sauté for a minute until fragrant.

  14. 14

Add the chopped cilantro to the pan and stir to combine. Cook for another 30 seconds, then remove from heat.

  15. 15

Place the fried potato balls in a serving bowl. Pour the prepared garlic butter over the balls and toss gently to coat them evenly. Serve immediately.
