Beef Fried Rice in a Rice Cooker
A simple and delicious Beef Fried Rice recipe made conveniently in a rice cooker, featuring marinated beef, jasmine rice, and a savory sauce.

- cornstarch
- shaoxing wine
- jasmine rice
- water
- dark soy sauce
- light soy sauce
- sesame oil
- sugar
- oyster sauce
- MSG
- onion
- frozen peas
- scallions
- chili oil

Roughly dice your onion.

Cut the beef into half-inch chunks.

In a bowl, combine the beef chunks with soy sauce, cornstarch, and optional shaoxing wine. Mix thoroughly to marinate. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

Place 1 cup of jasmine rice into the rice cooker pot.

Thoroughly wash the rice until the water runs clear, then drain the water.

Add 1.25 cups of fresh water to the washed rice.

Add dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, oyster sauce, and optional MSG to the pot.

Stir everything to combine the liquids with the rice.

Sprinkle the diced onions and the marinated beef evenly over the top of the rice mixture.

Place the pot in the rice cooker and cook on the normal setting.

Once cooked, immediately remove the pot from the cooker.
