Butter Garlic Steak Bites and Mashed Potatoes
A hearty and flavorful dish featuring tender steak bites cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce, served alongside creamy mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
- steaks
- oil
- cajun seasoning
- yukon gold potatoes
- butter
- heavy cream
- potato slayer seasoning
- butter
- garlic paste
- chili flakes
- parsley
Method
- 1
Place the strip steaks on a cutting board and cut them into approximately 1/2-inch cubes.
- 2
Season the steak cubes generously with Cajun seasoning, tossing to coat all sides.
- 3
Heat oil in a large skillet or pan over high heat. Add the seasoned steak cubes in a single layer.
- 4
Sear the steak bites for 1 minute per side until a brown crust forms. Once cooked, remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
- 5
To prepare the mashed potatoes, place the peeled potatoes in a pot of water and boil until they are soft and fork-tender.
- 6
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter and mash them until mostly smooth.
- 7
Pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle with "Potato Slayer" seasoning. Continue to mash until you reach your desired consistency.
- 8
Plate the mashed potatoes as a base on a serving dish.
- 9
Arrange the cooked steak bites over the bed of mashed potatoes.
- 10
In the same pan used for the steak, melt the butter for the sauce.
- 11
Whisk in the garlic paste, followed by the chili flakes.
- 12
Add the chopped parsley and whisk everything together to combine.
- 13
Drizzle the hot garlic butter sauce over the steak bites and mashed potatoes.
- 14
Serve immediately.
